Bride To Be

- I was really quite afraid of giving up as I thought I’d ‘miss’ this thing that I actually quite enjoyed (or I thought I enjoyed). My boyfriend and I did it together three months ago and haven’t looked back. I haven’t put weight on (the first thing any girl will ask you about) and still go out partying like it’s … well, 1999… and don’t have any urge to light one up. The biggest selling factor for us for the course was that yeah the book feels like it’s going to work, but the course is like supersizing it and you get all the experiences of the other people there which is so varied and interesting – it’s like each person in the course represents soemthing you would say to yourself or think about smoking. It’s also a great selling point that you can get your money back if you start smoking within three months – you’ve literally got nothing to lose.

People find it hard to believe that it’s so easy as you don’t get withdrawals and don’t feel the need to replace smoking with other addictions or habits… the course works to explain and reverse what is essentially a psychological addiction – the physical addiction to smoking is about 24 hours max and not the real hurdle. It uses some hypnotherapy at the end of the course which helps to subconsciously cement all the logical ‘brain-flipping’ about why you smoke that the day has provided you with.

I feel so pumped and proud of myself for giving up and was on a real high when I did it – you definitely get moments when you are looking for something to do, but not necessarily wanting a ciggie, just knowing that normally you’d be doing SOMETHING right now… oh that’s right, having a cigarette. My boyfriend and I were very different in our smoking ‘personalities’ so it works whether you smoke loads or just socially or whether you love it or hate it.

Every smoker I”ve described it to thus has been quite inspired to try it and can’t quite believe that we’ve done it.
